OUR STORY
From day one our clinic has been a story of individuals from the Body of Christ volunteering their time, talents, and treasures to realize a common goal of serving the hurting in our city inside our four walls.
From day one, Watermark Health and our urgent care clinics have been fueled by the dedication of individuals united by a shared goal: serving the physical and spiritual needs in our city. It all began with an inspiring collaboration between QuestCare Partners and Watermark Community Church, driven by their desire to give back.
In 2012, Dr. Matthew Bush, an ER Physician and principal within QuestCare Partners, recognized the need for a nonprofit clinic. Seeking guidance, he reached out to his home church, Watermark Community Church, and the partnership was born.
With the unwavering support of QuestCare's leadership and the church community, we quickly mobilized to bring our first clinic to life. Together, we rallied real estate agents, city officials, community leaders, and construction teams to make it happen.
The response was overwhelming. In its first year, the clinic provided care to thousands of people without insurance. But as demand grew, we knew we had to do more.
Guided by our local church partner, Watermark Plano (now CityBridge Community Church), and with the ongoing support of QuestCare Partners, local government, and our construction team, we opened our second clinic in Plano in 2018. It was a pivotal moment that defined who we are: the local church meeting the city's needs. Today, our partner clinic, CityBridge Urgent Care operates and serves Collin County alongside our Skillman Clinic in Dallas.
As we continued to grow, we realized we could still do more. In 2019, we dared to dream of a Mobile Clinic. Our vision became a reality through the incredible generosity and support of our community. The Mobile Clinic, built in 2020, now serves patients at Watermark's South Dallas campus and OurCalling, a cherished ministry partner.
Today, Watermark Urgent Care stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion. We owe our success to the selfless contributions of the members of Watermark Community Church who give their time, talents, and resources to make a difference.
We count it a privilege to serve our city through our clinics and Mobile Clinic, and we look forward to many more opportunities to care for those around us. Our mission is simple: to provide compassionate care and point to the ultimate source of healing.
